Description

A delicious and easy-to-make recipe for oven-baked salmon sushi bites that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips
  • Soy sauce, for serving
  • Wasabi, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  3. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved, then fold into the cooled rice.
  4. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Top each piece of salmon with a small amount of sushi rice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.
  7. Assemble the sushi bites by placing a piece of salmon and rice on a strip of nori, adding avocado and cucumber.
  8. Roll the nori around the filling and slice into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add sriracha to the salmon before baking.
  • Make sure to use sushi-grade salmon for safety.
