Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the chopped sweet onions, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and translucent.
