- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 package (3 oz) black cherry gelatin
- 1 package (3 oz) lime gelatin
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 can (15 oz) lychee fruit, drained
- 1 can (6 oz) black olives, pitted
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve the black cherry gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Add 1 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka to the mixture, stir well.
- Pour the mixture into shot glasses and refrigerate until set, about 2-3 hours.
- For the eyeballs, place a lychee fruit in each shot glass once the black cherry gelatin is set.
- Fill the center of each lychee with a black olive to create the ‘pupil’.
- Prepare the lime gelatin by dissolving it in 1 cup of boiling water, then adding 1/2 cup of vodka and 1 cup of cold water.
- Carefully pour the lime gelatin over the set black cherry layer, ensuring the eyeballs remain visible.
- Refrigerate until fully set, about 2-3 hours.
- Serve chilled and enjoy the spooky fun!
Notes
- For a more intense color, add a few drops of red food coloring to the lime gelatin.
- These shots can be made a day in advance for convenience.
- Adjust the amount of vodka to your preference for a stronger or lighter shot.
