- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased crockpot and cover it with a clean kitchen towel.
- Let the dough rise in the crockpot on the low setting for 2-3 hours or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, shape the dough into a ball and place it back in the crockpot.
- Cook on high for 1-1.5 hours until the bread is cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove the bread from the crockpot and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
