- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 4 burger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form loose balls.
- Place the beef balls on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
- Season the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
- Top each patty with a slice of cheese (optional) and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- While the burgers are cooking, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder to make the house sauce.
- Toast the burger buns on the skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading house sauce on the bottom bun, adding the patty, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, then topping with the top bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
