Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions.
  3. Form each portion into a loose ball without compacting it.
  4. Place the beef balls on the grill and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish in a bowl to make the secret sauce.
  8. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute.
  9. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, adding lettuce, tomato, and a generous dollop of secret sauce.
