- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add broccoli florets and beef broth, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid, stir, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute chicken or tofu for the beef.
- Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
