Description

Roasted Fennel Apple Gratin is a delightful side dish that combines the sweetness of apples with the unique flavor of fennel, baked to perfection with a creamy topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 large fennel bulbs, sliced
  • 2 large apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced fennel and apples with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer the fennel and apple mixture in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and half of the Gruyère cheese.
