Description
A delicious twist on the classic Reuben sandwich, these Reuben Balls are crispy on the outside and filled with corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese, served with a spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.

- 1 cup corned beef, chopped
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into small balls.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium heat.
- Fry the balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- For the dipping sauce, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, and relish in a small bowl.
- Serve the Reuben Balls hot with the spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the Reuben Balls in the oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Adjust the spiciness of the dipping sauce by adding more or less hot sauce.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
