- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sourdough starter

- 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add the pumpkin puree and sourdough starter to the dry ingredients.
- Gradually mix in the water until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another hour.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, add more sugar to the dough.
