Description

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  7. In a small saucepan, combine the corn syrup and heavy cream, heating until warm.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Drizzle the warm corn syrup mixture over each cookie.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
