Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cornbread is baking, prepare the cinnamon honey butter by mixing softened butter, honey, and cinnamon in a bowl until smooth.
- Once the cornbread is done, let it cool slightly before serving with the cinnamon honey butter.
Notes
- For a sweeter cornbread, increase the sugar to 1/2 cup.
- Store leftover cornbread in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
