A delicious recipe for mustard roasted chicken that results in a crispy and juicy delight.
Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the mustard mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin for maximum flavor.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, you can broil the chicken for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the roasting pan for a complete meal.
- This recipe can be made with chicken thighs or breasts if preferred.
