Mummy Meatloaf is a fun and spooky twist on a classic family dinner, perfect for Halloween or any time you want to add a little creativity to your meal.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 2 olives, sliced (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into strips. Wrap the strips around the meatloaf to create a mummy effect.
- Place the sliced olives on top of the meatloaf for eyes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
- Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or a salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
