Description

Mummy Baked Brie is a fun and festive Halloween treat that combines creamy brie cheese wrapped in flaky pastry, perfect for a spooky celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Black olives (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Place the brie cheese in the center of the pastry.
  4. Wrap the pastry around the brie, leaving some parts exposed to create a ‘mummy’ look.
  5. Brush the pastry with egg wash and olive oil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Add black olives as eyes to the mummy.
  9. Serve warm with crackers or fruit.

Notes

  • For a sweeter version, add a layer of jam or honey on top of the brie before wrapping.
  • Make sure to keep an eye on the pastry to prevent burning.
  • This dish is best served warm.
