Description

Mississippi Mud Baked Potatoes are a delicious and indulgent twist on traditional baked potatoes, topped with a rich and creamy chocolate sauce, marshmallows, and nuts.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes, then pierce them with a fork.
  3. Bake the potatoes for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Once the potatoes are done, cut them open and fluff the insides with a fork.
  6. Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the fluffed potatoes.
  7. Top with the sour cream mixture, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until the marshmallows are toasted.
