Delicious and moist pumpkin donuts topped with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for fall.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and maple syrup to create the glaze.
- Dunk the cooled donuts in the glaze and let them set on the wire rack.
Notes
- Store donuts in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of ground ginger.
- These donuts can be frozen for up to 2 months.
