- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips.
- Wrap the strips around the stuffed jalapeños to resemble mummies.
- Place the wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the mummies with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra spice, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
- Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
