Jalapeño Mummy Poppers are a fun and spooky snack perfect for Halloween parties, featuring jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in crescent dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into thin strips.
  6. Wrap the strips around the stuffed jalapeños to resemble mummies.
  7. Place the wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the mummies with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
  • These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
