Description

Deliciously sweet and salty caramel apple bars perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. Spread half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
  8. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter.
  9. Spread the remaining batter on top and drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
