- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, almond flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store bars in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Feel free to substitute the chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruits.
- For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
