Delicious and fluffy apple cinnamon rolls perfect for fall, filled with sweet apples and cinnamon, and topped with a creamy glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture, then gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and diced apples evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Use tart apples for a balanced flavor.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
