- 2 lbs chicken thighs
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the sauce 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve the chicken over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- This recipe can be made with chicken breasts if preferred.
