Description

A delicious and hearty dish combining pierogi, kielbasa, and cheese, all cooked to perfection in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen pierogi (16 oz)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the layers.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the soup mixture over the layers in the crockpot.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, cheese, and soup mixture.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are tender and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the kielbasa and use vegetable broth.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables for extra flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
