- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup gluten-free oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg, then spread them evenly in a baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the gluten-free oats, almond flour, brown sugar, and chopped nuts.
- Pour the melted coconut oil over the oat mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread the oat mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
- If desired, drizzle maple syrup over the top for added sweetness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
