Description
A quick and easy recipe for making flavorful collard greens with smoked turkey using an Instant Pot.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs collard greens, cleaned and chopped
- 1 lb smoked turkey leg or wings
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the smoked turkey and cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add the collard greens.
- Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 30 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, allow for a natural release of pressure for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Remove the turkey, shred the meat, and return it to the pot. Stir well and serve.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the smoked turkey and use vegetable broth.
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
