- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked beef and onion mixture.
- Spread the green beans over the beef layer.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or carrots for extra flavor.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
