Description

Delicious and healthier version of churros made in an air fryer, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the guilt.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add applesauce and water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  4. Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites in a single layer.
  6. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, you can sprinkle additional coconut sugar and cinnamon on top after cooking.
