Ingredients

- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add applesauce and water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, you can sprinkle additional coconut sugar and cinnamon on top after cooking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Feel free to dip in dark chocolate for an indulgent treat.
