Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the onions, carrots, and peas, cooking until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture, smoothing it out.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or bell peppers.
- Can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
