- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup green buttercream frosting
- Chocolate cones for witch hats
- Edible eyes
- Black sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and buttermilk.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Pipe green buttercream frosting on top of each cupcake.
- Place a chocolate cone on top to create the witch’s hat.
- Add edible eyes and black sprinkles for decoration.
Notes
- Make sure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
- You can use store-bought frosting to save time.
- Feel free to customize the decorations to make them more festive.
