- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green food coloring
- Olives for decoration
- Cooked hot dogs, cut into monster shapes
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Mix in the cooked macaroni and add green food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Transfer the mac and cheese to a serving dish and decorate with monster-shaped hot dogs and olives.
