Graveyard Oreo Dirt Cookies are a fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween or any themed party. These cookies combine the rich flavors of chocolate and cream with a playful presentation that resembles a graveyard.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Chocolate sprinkles (for decoration)
  • Gummy worms (for decoration)
  • Edible tombstone decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies into the dough.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  9. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Once cooled, decorate the cookies with chocolate sprinkles, gummy worms, and edible tombstone decorations to create a graveyard effect.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, you can use dark cocoa powder.
  • Make sure to crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces for better distribution in the dough.
