Description

Ghost Meringue Cookies are light, airy, and spooky treats perfect for Halloween celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon black food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form and the mixture is glossy.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and black food coloring until well combined.
  5. Using a piping bag, pipe ghost shapes onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meringues are dry and can easily lift off the parchment.
  7. Let them cool completely before serving.
