- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1/2 cup fresh figs, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Honey, for drizzling
- Fresh thyme, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares or circles, depending on your preference.
- In a bowl, mix the goat cheese and chopped figs until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the goat cheese and fig mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the goat cheese mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve warm for the best taste.
