Delicious salted caramel apple bars perfect for fall, combining sweet apples and rich caramel in a buttery crust.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
- In another bowl, toss the diced apples with cinnamon and layer them over the crust.
- Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
- Crumb the remaining dough over the top of the caramel and apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Can be served warm with ice cream for an extra treat.
