- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Grease the crockpot with cooking spray.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the bread from the crockpot and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- For a crustier bread, you can place a towel under the lid of the crockpot to absorb moisture.
