Description

Ingredients

  • 500g bread flour
  • 100g cocoa powder
  • 300g sourdough starter
  • 350ml water
  • 10g salt
  • 200g dark chocolate chips
  • 50g sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the bread flour, cocoa powder, and sugar together.
  2. Add the sourdough starter and water, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the salt and chocolate chips into the dough.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Allow the loaf to rise for another 2-3 hours.
  8. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  9. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is firm and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Let the bread cool before slicing.
