- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each chicken breast.
- Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Dredge each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and brown the chicken rolls on all sides.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and Dijon mustard, heating until warm.
- Serve the chicken rolls with the creamy Dijon sauce drizzled on top.

- For a healthier option, you can use whole wheat breadcrumbs.
