- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1 lb fresh salmon, diced
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- Sea salt, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
- In a bowl, mix the diced salmon with sriracha, mayonnaise, sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
- Once the rice is cool, form it into small, compact squares or rectangles.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the rice squares until golden and crispy on both sides.
- Top each crispy rice piece with a spoonful of the spicy salmon mixture.
- Garnish with avocado slices and chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can double fry the rice squares.
- Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
- This dish is best served fresh but can be prepared in advance and assembled just before serving.
