Description

Crispy Rice with Spicy Salmon is a delightful appetizer that combines crunchy rice with flavorful spicy salmon, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 lb fresh salmon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix the diced salmon with sriracha, mayonnaise, sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  4. Once the rice is cool, form it into small, compact squares or rectangles.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the rice squares until golden and crispy on both sides.
  6. Top each crispy rice piece with a spoonful of the spicy salmon mixture.
  7. Garnish with avocado slices and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, you can double fry the rice squares.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • This dish is best served fresh but can be prepared in advance and assembled just before serving.
