- 1 lb white fish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 lime, juiced
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Shredded cabbage, for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip fish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fish until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- In a blender, combine avocado, sour cream, and lime juice to make the crema.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet.
- Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas, topping with avocado crema, shredded cabbage, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For extra crunch, double fry the fish.
- Feel free to add your favorite toppings like salsa or jalapeños.
