Description

Delicious and crispy Baja fish tacos topped with creamy avocado sauce, ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Shredded cabbage, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip fish fillets in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fish until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. In a blender, combine avocado, sour cream, and lime juice to make the crema.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas, topping with avocado crema, shredded cabbage, and cilantro.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes
