Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup pickles
- 1/4 cup onions, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Special sauce (ketchup, mayonnaise, and relish)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip them.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and special sauce.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
