Description

Cookies and Cream Sourdough Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the tangy flavor of sourdough with the sweetness of cookies and cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the sourdough starter, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and white chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
