- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons brewed coffee
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture; mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top.
- Cut the dough into strips and twist them into knots.
- Place knots on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the icing, mix powdered sugar, brewed coffee, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the coffee icing over the warm cinnamon knots before serving.

- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of cinnamon to your taste.
- These knots can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
