Description

A delicious and spicy chipotle chicken burger that packs a flavor punch, perfect for grilling season.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tbsp chipotle sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chipotle sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and form into 4 patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more chipotle sauce to the mixture.
  • These burgers can also be cooked in a skillet if a grill is not available.
  • Serve with a side of sweet potato fries for a complete meal.
