- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the sliced onions.
- Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped sage and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into strips.
- Place a spoonful of the caramelized onion mixture on one end of each strip.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and twist the strips to create a spiral shape.
- Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
