Description

A delicious and savory dish featuring caramelised soy chicken served in a flavorful garlic ginger broth.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and brown sugar until dissolved.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken and let it caramelise.
  5. In a separate pot, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  6. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Once the chicken is caramelised, add it to the broth.
  8. Simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
