Description

Cajun Meatloaf is a flavorful twist on the classic comfort food, infused with spices that elevate the dish to new heights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, eggs, milk, Cajun seasoning, and ketchup.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, and mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread additional ketchup on top if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the mixture.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
