- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
- In a large bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sourdough starter and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a chewier texture, refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Feel free to add nuts or other mix-ins as desired.
