Description

Delicious meatball subs made with bourbon BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheeseburgers, ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 6 sub rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the cooked meatballs with bourbon BBQ sauce and chopped bacon.
  6. Slice the sub rolls and place them on a serving platter.
  7. Fill each sub roll with the meatball mixture and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your taste.
  • These subs can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • For a spicier kick, add some hot sauce to the meatball mixture.
