Description

A refreshing and zesty shrimp cocktail infused with the classic flavors of a Bloody Mary.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the shrimp.
  2. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine tomato juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Once the shrimp are chilled, drain and pat them dry.
  6. Toss the shrimp in the Bloody Mary mixture until well coated.
  7. Serve chilled, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more hot sauce to the mixture.
  • This dish can be prepared a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Pair with celery sticks or lemon wedges for added flavor.
