Description

Bewitched Cupcakes are delightful treats that combine enchanting flavors and whimsical designs, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Green and purple food coloring
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls and add green food coloring to one and purple to the other.
  6. Using a spoon, alternate spoonfuls of each color into the cupcake liners.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  9. Frost with buttercream and sprinkle with edible glitter if desired.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter.
  • These cupcakes can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
  • Feel free to customize the colors for different occasions.
